"A Wolf in Wolf's Clothing" is the third episode of Season 3 of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. It premiered on Netflix with the rest of the season on October 12, 2020.
Synopsis[]
Old frenemies are on the comeback. Kipo reaches out to alliance stopper Scarlemagne, and Margot asks Wolf for a favor. Are second chances possible?
Plot[]
Dr. Emilia talks with Greta about the need to rebuild her lab so that when Kipo comes back, they'll be ready. Two wolves are eavesdropping and get caught by Emilia.
Kipo petitions different mutes to join her H.M.U.F.A. alliance, including the raccoons. The raccoons refuse to join because Scarlemagne is on the premises. Kipo asks Scarlemagne to apologize and he laughs in her face.
Wolf starts to fight with a wolf, named Margot, over a problem from 5 years ago (Wolf thinks that Margot hunted her). Margot tells Wolf that she needs her help to save her brother who is trapped. Wolf agrees.
Kipo pushes Scarlemagne's cell into the main hall and everyone freaks out and throws their food at him. She opens the door to his cell to show him some trust. He runs but Kipo transforms and catches him. She makes him walk back to apologize. He refuses. She makes him wash dishes. He keeps trying to run away. She brings him to meet a baby Timberkittens, and he's actually nice to them.
Wolf and Margot lead the expedition to rescue Margot's brother. They come across a dog park and almost get trampled before hopping on top of the giant alpha dog. They howl to make the dogs submit. Dave and Benson hop on the dog too.
Kipo heads the H.M.U.F.A. meeting and preps Scarlemagne for his apology, insisting that he does it from the heart. He tries to apologize but accidentally insults everyone. They start throwing food at him and Kipo gets angry and her arms transform. Scarlemagne gives Kipo and the others a heartfelt apology. The mutes say they can't forgive him yet, however they agree to join H.M.U.F.A.

Wolf leads her group to Deathstalker territory and instructs them to remain calm. Wolf confronts Margot about abandoning her, but Margot explains that she was just scared, and is genuinely happy that Wolf has found her true pack. Margot then admits that she is part of Emilia's plan to trap Wolf as Emilia threatened to cure her and her brother, and urges them to escape, but Emilia's group surrounds them with weapons almost instantly.

- The pharmacy store “R. Sechrist Pharmacy“, named after Radford Sechrist, is visited in the beginning of the episode.
- Deathstalkers are mentioned, but are not seen in Deathstalker Territory.
- Don't Stop Now (feat. Michelle Gonzalez) is played again in the series when Wolf’s group travel through the Valley of the Mega Dogs.
- It is revealed in this episode Wolf eventually told Kipo, Benson, Mandu, and Dave about her past.
- More rats alongside Amy and Brad are seen in this episode. Considering their attire, they appear to be Ratland Amusement Park workers.
- Error: After Wolf and Margot gain control of the Mega Dog pack by howling on top of the Mega Corgi’s head, Margot’s nose disappears for a few frames.
