Hehe, you could say that, yes, especially since my home wiki is the Avatar Wiki, where I've been an administrator and bureaucrat for about 8 years now :-p
My favorite characters from the A:TLA would be: Katara, Zuko, Azula, Mai, and Iroh
From TLoK: Korra (disregarding her involvement with Mako), Lin Beifong, and Asami
Favorite season of ATLA is book 3 and favorite episodes being "The Desert" , "The Southern Raiders". From TLoK, I like Book 3 and 4 the best, and my favorite episodes are "Enter the Void", "Venom of the Red Lotus", and "Korra Alone".
Considering the entire series was created with Kataang endgame in mind, I just cannot picture Zutara happening.
I don't particularly have a favorite Iroh quote, he simply has way too many awesome quotes.
Favorite minor character: June, no contest. Badass women for the win!
Hi Lady Lostris, about a day ago a user came by and asked if I wanted to affiliate this wiki with their wiki. I didn't know how to answer, so I suggested they ask one of the bureaucrats instead. Later, I noticed they did do what I suggested, but have not yet gotten a response. I wanted to know what you thought about this.
Hey Elia, that's always a good answer if you are unsure about something :-) I had to dig around a bit before I could find the conversation you were referring to (is there a particular reason why you tend to remove message from your wall? It's just that it makes it a bit hard afterwards to track down certain conversations) and in this case, ItsAsIf is right about the affiliations: most wikis just post a link to a related community on some designated page, hoping that the wikis attract a similar audience that may also like the other show. It seems that there is already a link to such a page in the global navbar (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts Wiki:Affiliations, although it has not been created yet). Whether or not you'd like to do this is up to you.
Okay good to know and the reason I remove threads is because I like to keep my wall more or less clean. I also do it to remove links to them from my notifications button (the little envelope in the top right corner), since that seems to be the only way to do it, mainly because I don't want too many there. However, I noticed that sometimes even when I remove the thread, the notification link stays, not sure why.
You can remove those notifications by just clicking "mark as read" at the bottom of that dropdown menu. My two cents: I can see a reason in removing irrelevant conversations (like utter social talk) for cleanup reasons, but I think that every conversation with some relevance to the wiki ought to remain visible on the wall. If you don't want a conversation to continue, you also have the option to close a thread, which will remove people's ability to comment any further on the conversation while still preserving what was said.
No, it doesn't remove the link, but it removes the notification. I don't really see what's so bad about having links to the most recent conversations there, especially not since there will always be max 5 links. Closing a thread will likewise also not remove the link there (I think), but it will also stop the receiving of further notifications.
You're very welcome. Feel free to always ask me anything you're unsure of :-)
Yup, you did! You can continue the conversation with ItsAsIf if you'd like about that, and if you want to proceed, you just upload the wordmark of the Tales of Arcadia wiki to that page, perhaps even make it into a nice table format so you can explain a bit more about what that wiki is about (I can help you with that, as I am also the Wiki Manager of that wiki).
By the way, any ideas on this other thread? (To emphasize again, it is a mere suggestion, do not feel obligated to do anything :-) )
I'm glad I did create the page correctly. I'd greatly appreciate your help, could you please show me how to do the wordmark part. Finally, not sure about the other thread (I'd want to keep the villains category, just in case). I was just planning on deleting the thread from my wall at a later time.
I updated the affiliations page per your request. Feel free to make any and all adjustments you deem necessary. I would reach out to ItsAsIf again to show him you went ahead with the affiliation and request him to do the same on the Tales of Arcadia wiki.
You're well within your rights to keep that category, as it was just a suggestion, but from one editor to another, mind telling me what the use if of keeping a category around "just in case"? Wouldn't it make more sense to recreate the category later (without the typo) if a need would arise than to keep it around now? As for deleting the message on your wall, you are once again totally free to do so, but as I mentioned earlier, I generally do advise against removing messages (unless clear spam or harassment of course) since messages provide a conversation history, let people know who did and said what and when. It's generally a good thing to have around, but in the end, it is your wall, and you can proceed as you see fit.
Thanks for completing the affiliation page, looks great. After having some more time to think about it, maybe I was wrong about keeping the villains category, since I now see your point. Originally, I wanted to keep it because of how ruthless I thought Emilia and Scarlemagne were. Finally, I see why threads can be used as a history and I am glad you understand. To be honest, if there was another way to remove the link from my notifications button, I wouldn't feel like deleting the entire thread from my wall.
Haha, I can ask to have that enabled, though I wouldn't do it for the reasons you mentioned. I do think that page can be helpful to create a community to-do list to help guide new editors to find pages to edit.
